Concept and Production Design

Alright its time for the second post of the week. So in the previous post I hit on the topics about genre and our main character. Now I will be goin a little more in-depth with the concept and other things that should help our process.
So like I mentioned previously we will be doing a horror/thriller combo. We draw inspiration from movies like Get Out to be able to get as close to the thriller feel as we can. Since we are planning on having a sort of virus take over, we are hoping we can grasp the feel in the film opening. We are planning on having a very run down room with a couch and a tv. Our main character would be living in this situation and be watching tv. This way we are able to grasp exactly what we want to achieve cause usually old, run down things might scare people.I do not want to give too much away cause then what would be the surprise later?
Beside the whole concept thing we have to make sure that our project design is on top of it. My partner, Jules, has already began drawing out what the scene is going to look like just so we have a rough idea of what we are going to do. This part we get to be pretty creative in the way we are going to design the room since we have freedom to do whatever. We are just going to try and make it as horror/ thriller as possible. In a few days we will actually start storyboarding our concept of the short film. It may seem that april 7th is a long times way but we gotta stay consistent.
Yes, this blog was shorter than the other one, but we are just getting started with this whole journey. Hope to see you guys at my next post.
